My x1c6 managed to cut into the e-DP cable inside its hinge when it was only three years old (right out of warranty). That was not a repair for the faint of heart (have to completely disassemble the monitor unit). One of the thunderbolt ports started detaching from the board when it was around 4 years old, stopped working even for charging about a year after that. I didn't even try to fix that one |
