Safety critical projects use a variety of techniques to ensure that things don’t go wrong, and if they do go wrong anyway, that the root cause can be traced so that it will not happen again. Most safety critical projects today are written in C and C++, which have very little compile time checks for safety. |

I find this debatable. Even if it were still true, such "whataboutism" is always a piss poor argument.
