They must've been really pissed off at Barney the Dinosaur. (for those who haven't had the (dis)pleasure, this was a television show that was enjoyed by toddlers, but extremely annoying to anyone over the age of three: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barney_%26_Friends) I agree that it'd be concerning if junk images wound up in textbooks, but, you know, ensuring that textbook illustrations are accurate (within the limits of current scientific knowledge) is part of their job. |
