I’m reminded of the “I am rich” App that did nothing except cost the maximum App Store price ($999.99 IIRC), or the Egg Salad kick-starter that raised some absurd amount of money. There are occasionally internet memes that generate funds as part of the zeitgeist. They’re often imitated in the moment. I wonder if this is unique enough and with enough distance from the last one to engage people to part with their money. |
