Very interested in learning more. I went ahead and applied.

The only thing I see that I lack is professional Go experience (experience in C# and Node).

My only question would be how important is having direct experience in Go for this position?

Go experience is nice to have, but not required, and we let candidates choose (almost) whatever language they like for interview exercises.
