It is still far too unreliable for serious work in which the task requires you to wear adult pants, unless that task is hyper specific and fairly simple, like say, photoshop's spot removal tool. This has been true since gpt2 and is unlikely to ever be resolved using current training methods.. something that has also been known among serious people since gpt2. What is attempting to drive this adoption is the unending pressure for quarterly returns. The irrational demand for ever increasing profits will last longer than any set of company ethics or oversight. |
