I normally don't comment on stuff like this, but this is dishonest at best.

The bible is a collection of multiple books, some are stories and myths, some are historical, some are divine law / ways to live. The vast majority of faith traditions today that root the bible as divine revelation do not see the old testament's law as binding on modern man, but rather either instruction for a more "devolved" people, part of an invalidated covenant, or part of an older "aeon" or age of man.

When you are free to ignore certain parts the whole thing becomes less and less believable

What I said is accurate. I'm aware of what the bible is comprised of.

Your response is the usual "oh those bits are just old and silly".

To say that my comment is "dishonest at best" relies on cherry-picking the parts that are palatable in modern society, as you've pointed out.
