Text runs off the right side of the screen, and you can neither pan nor zoom to get around that.

I don't understand the smile on this question.

It is inconsiderate and broken to block the normal default client automatic text flowing and client controls like that. And you have to go out of your way to do it. The browser will fill the viewport automatically and correctly, if you don't go out of your way to break it. And then it's just extra class act to also prevent the user from overcoming that breakage by panning or zooming. That's chefs kiss right there.

Does that answer your inexplicably smiley question?

Hehe, I'm very sorry, but there must be some kind of cultural barrier here. My smiley was intended as a way to intentionally show OP that I wasn't trying to be mean or anything, but sincerely asking the question :)

Anyway, it's my post. I just pulled down a Jekyll theme that I thought looked nice and tried it on my laptop and phone (where it worked fine). But thanks, I'll try to look into how and why it's broken.

Thanks!

The cultural disconnect is to me the smiley in that context indicated you didn't believe there was actually any problem and assumed there would be no valid answer to the question, and the question was insincere.

Very cynical and probably at least partly the result of projection, and I do now believe your sincerity, so I am only explaining equally sincerely now, not criticizing.

Cool - thanks for explaining!
