more than that: you shouldn’t need ti respond immediately in work hours. such messages really should be done via the task management system, for example a JIRA comment. slack for all the things is the problem. it is a crutch to allow bad organizational skills. just yell when a thought pops into your head is not great for the team. but if you know they are working on X and it is about X then comment on the X ticket. Slack should also allow message queues which don’t alert but can be consumed once or twice a day by people for non urgent stuff. |
