In reality, stocks have been ripping: The S&P 500 is up 13% this year on top of a 24% gain last year. This is kind of interesting. It would be more interesting to know how that misperception has changed over time. I suspect that at any given time half of people wouldn't correctly guess whether the S&P was up or down. |
