You can't update/upgrade your onboard car infotainment/ECU like a smartphone.
I'd assume the onboard map data going stale FAST. You get to choose which smartphone to use, and when to upgrade them.
The lifecycle of a car is A LOT longer than its onbaord infotainment. I see no mandated free of charge on data updating, nor mandated support timeframe. |
