Then you should’ve said that first instead of beating around the bush with the what-about-ism. The author is discussing the impact a society/institute can have on an individuals choices later in life through the lens of their experience within Mormonism. They never attempt to gatekeep that it’s a unique thing Mormons go through. Ultimately she discusses a topic that encompasses all STEM industries at the moment, which is equal opportunity and free choice. As a result I’d argue it’s very topical for HN irrespective of the religion. |
