I guess I'll be that guy. "forgery" is an even better form of the word to discuss (the noun -- and of course a forgery is forged), specifically: 3 : an act of forging
especially : the crime of falsely and fraudulently making or altering a document (such as a check) Fraudulently making a document. That's this to a tee. |
