| Dear Hacker News Contributors, I'm part of research team at Queen's University Belfast, commissioned by the departments of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), and Culture, Sport and Media (DCMS) within the UK Government. Our mission is to gather evidence on the development paths of distributed ledger technology and assess its likely impacts on industrial, social, and commercial environments through novel use cases. The output of this project will benefit the DCMS and DSIT analysts and policy teams who will be tasked with who will be tasked with shaping future Government policy towards distributed ledger applications. At this time, we are looking to identify people and groups working in distributed ledgers and adjacent areas who are willing to participate in our project. This will involve interviews and questionnaires aimed at understanding the potential industrial, social, and commercial impacts of novel distributed ledger use cases. For this, your participation is crucial for guiding our approach and ensuring that future policy recommendations are well-informed and forward-thinking.
