I was curious, so the context is that current Amazon CEO Andy Jassy was the head of AWS and he hired an outside executive, Adam Selipsky, as his replacement when he was promoted. Adam worked at Amazon a long time ago, but left to found Tableau and then sold it to Salesforce. By contrast, the incoming CEO of AWS is a longtime AWS veteran. But he's head of sales? Should be interesting |

Selipsky did not found Tableau by a long stretch. He moved to Tableau from AWS, where he'd been for 11 years, and then went back five years later.
