The technology is impressive. The precision of the information (location, time, pattern) can be transformative in how police responds to high crime areas. Right now, I can imagine that the quality of information degrade in a game of telephone from the caller to the dispatcher to the patroller (and even more so in HCAs). Meanwhile the patroller has to be balancing the issue of investigating a false positive and wading into a danger area. Panoticon here we come.... |
