“For the lifetime of your subscription“ still lets them cancel the subscription unilaterally without breaking the promise. So if they want to hike the price of existing subscriptions, they can still legally say “agree to the price increase or your subscription will end on X date, after which you can choose to re-subscribe at the new price if you like.” It just prevents them from automatically and unilaterally increasing these subscriptions’ prices. It also might not prevent them from amending the fair use terms of the subscription to require paying overage charges for unfair or abusive usage patterns, without unilaterally changing the monthly price. |
