Does that mean that we'll be seeing KDE powering Mercedes Benz's car infotainment system? Is this happening already?

Most probably they use some underlying technologies from KDE Frameworks or something along those lines. But not an actual Plasma Shell or anything like that.

Their infotainment and instrument cluster is based on QT so could be possible.
