Quite. It sounds like they only got there in the first place because normally astronauts are given half their bodyweight in antibiotics to prevent exactly this from happening. And it did. Except for the drug resistant ones. Question is: will it mutate into something which is no longer drug resistant? And is there any compelling reason for it to do so? |
