If I lived in China, I would rather be spied by the USA, and not by the Chinese government.

But since I live in the "west", I'd rather be spied by China and Russia, than by the USA or any of their allies and vassals.

That being said, I'd rather be spied on by the government, than by my wife, family, and friends.

People and organizations I don't have to deal with are less of a threat to me.
