I've always felt that a "smart" person isn't smart because they know everything, but because they know how to find the answers. Smart users of LLMs will use the output as an opportunity to learn how to think about their problem, and smart implementations of LLMs will guide the user to do so. I'm not saying that every interaction must be Socratic, but that the LLM neither be nor present itself as the answer. |
