> tastier I often see this mentioned during discussions of home cooking as if it were objective truth, but it confuses me because I enjoy a pie from the local pizza parlor as much as I enjoy my boeuf bourguignon. It's a different experience for sure. There's pleasure to be had in taking the time for the mise en place and coming up with tweaks over time to micro-optimize the flavor, but is it really tastier? |

When I do eat out there is always something nice about not having to cook or clean up. That skews it a bit for me, maybe it wasn't actually as tasty as cooking at home but the whole experience is nicer (on occasion).
