I've been saying this for years! Almost everyone I know scoffs, "bah, there's no known case of a human ever catching it!" To which I've said, "That's what they said about BSE, too! Do you want to win the lottery of having a disease named after you?" And the authorities have become very reluctant to do testing due to the expense -- I've got meat from multiple untested animals in the freezer. |
