Haha .. that is exactly the number I was thinking of. I was mulling whether that includes the house or not. According to the definition of net-worth, of course, a house should be counted. But for the magic retirement number, it doesn't make sense to include the house (just as long as you have shelter that is paid off). I do have kids and was also starting to think about college costs (or just let them pay it off). |
