"Following the rules of war". Do those rules permit forced starvation, destruction of the healthcare system, targeting journalists, aid workers, healthcare professionals, exterminating entire families in their homes?

the things you listed are grave consequences of Hamas engaging in warfare within a densely populated area, Hamas controlling the distribution of humanitarian aid and Hamas using the healthcare facilities for their own goals, including active warfare against hostage rescue operations by the IDF. The "journalists" that were targeted were participating in the October 7th massacre, filming and cheering a terror attack on innocent civilians. Other journalists who died tragically were definitely not targeted by the IDF. Collateral damage, as sad as it is, is a regular occurrence in an active combat zone.

The IDF makes mistakes and fucks up. A big reason for many of the fuckups is the fact that Hamas combatants are not wearing uniforms and aren’t following the rules of war, and follow guerrilla tactics that are difficult to deal with for a conventional military.

For "exterminating entire families in their homes" we can hope that if such decisions were made without significant enough caution (a reason to believe that not bombing a building would cause more innocent people to die at some point and possibly lead to another attack similar to October 7, or to significant rocket attacks that could wipe out more families) it will be investigated and the decision makers will be punished. However, I don’t wish on anyone to be in the position to be evaluating such stakes.

Israel is a democracy with a functioning court. There is at least a remote chance for bringing justice. Here’s it’s probably important to mention, that unlike Israel that has high court that is actively fighting the Israeli politicians who break the law, Palestinians have pension schemes for families of the "martyrs" (let that sink in).

Hamas is just a group of young guys that have seen their parents being bullied, abused and humilliated by Israely settlers, probably now they are full of hate and mental issues. At the same time Israel was sponsoring Hamas, so no wonder this happened.

If you are this upset because of Hamas attack, imagine how Palestinians feel after years of bullying and abuses.
