At some point they will lose more money from people that stop to shop there... I stopped using my local Kroger for other reasons though (food not fresh because of storage issues, etc).

Half of the grocery stores in my area are now owned by Kroger. It's getting harder to avoid doing business with them over time.

This is why I am very nervous about the threat of Kroger buying Alberstons.
