I think we need to make robots either neutral, or somewhat cute. Otherwise society will distrust these entities. This is the opinion of someone strongly rooting for the success of AI/ML and its symbiotic integration with actuators, either on an isolated basis or as a large hive mind.
Does anyone remember the scene in Terminator 2 where the T-1000 turns around instantly by swapping its face from front to back on its head? It reminds me of that. It's like they were consciously trying to evoke the Terminator.
