Watching BBC Iplayer via VPN is hard, mainly because it’s in the interest of the BBC to avoid eating the cost of serving the world for free. And VPN traffic is easy to spot, if you’re looking for it. I’m assuming the BBC invests a lot of resources to fence of non paying foreign viewers. But this is a BBC specific problem, most of the other European geofencing is quite weak and getting access to most other public broadcasters works just fine with a proper VPN. |
