In the U.K. some years ago the police changed the term in common use from "Road Traffic Accident" (RTA) to "Road Traffic Collision" (RTC) in order to underscore that these were not accidental but mostly due to poor driving of one sort or another. "Road Traffic Collision" is encoded in the applicable laws. |
