Unfortunately, deactivating wasn't allowed (or at least wasn't easy) by the OEM's ROM. There may be an adb command, but it wasn't worth the effort. I considered a custom ROM, but: * My grandmother is averse to all change * Transferring stuff (apps, settings, pictures) over would have been a pain * It's a lot easier to support a single utility app than support an entire OS |
