It is bizarre that creating an account on this service depends on me also already having an account on another, completely unrelated service. This unrelated service also requires me to provide it (and notably not Sonauto, the service I was actually interested in) my mobile phone number. This unrelated service also just recently admitted it collects data about you even when it says it doesn't. As a community made up largely of picky nerds and pedants, it doesn't seem incredible at all that this comes up so often. More like inevitable. |
