I guess "AI is coming for the supervision of scientific research" doesn't have the same kick to it as the submissions title. Leadership is about people, not about tasks. But somehow I'm not surprised that this went over the head of "the register".

That may be true, but I wouldn't say that the average human manager is particularly good at balancing these two aspects effectively.

There are a lot of "leaders" I've worked for whom I'd gladly replace with Llama 2, let alone a future AI that's actually intended for it.
