The legal industry has been trending toward fixed price / subscription for ages because everyone on both sides has been burnt out - exactly what Adrian experienced. The rank and file hate it, the partners hate it, the clients hate it. People who were worth hundreds of dollars an hour were pissing away their labor on account for every minute, and miserable at not being able to spend a minute that isn't billable at the office. If you were shopping this around to firms and they loved it, you wouldn't need to be here - they'd be throwing money at you. |
