We manage a fleet of gps-equipped vehicles with SIMs from https://1nce.com/. These SIMS cost 10 euros, are good for 10 years, work with all mobile operators (at least here in SK) and have 500 MB data package that can be recharged, if needed. Received data are processed on our server.

How many times are you recharging 500 MBs per year for the fleet? Also, what protocol and serialization technologies are you using the transmit the GPS data? For example, JSON, Protocol Buffers, etc?
