it's basically a whole underground network even if it uses existing networks (sometimes)... tracking objects is just an excuse to make it happen... a bit like terrorism is an excuse to take away your privacy when it comes to governments...

Or aside from nefarious location tracking - can they be used to spy in any other fashion?
