Our US-based startup, docAnalyzer, serves a mix of B2B and B2C customers in Europe. Europe now requires US companies to pay VAT for their European clients unless they can provide an EU tax ID for each, which is challenging for B2C and some small B2B clients.

The "One Stop Shop" scheme is a preferable option to avoid filing 27 separate declarations for each country, but it requires selecting a country to manage the process. The experience can vary significantly depending on the chosen country, with differences in bureaucracy, delays, etc.
