CheA phosphorylates CheY to become CheY-p, and CheZ dephosphorylates it back to CheY; CheW couples CheA to the receptors, and CheR methylates those receptors’ struts; CheB, meanwhile, “clips off” the methyl groups added to the struts by CheR. I guess 'naming things' isn't just hard in CompSci. |
