Gravity in GR is a 'fictitious force' or an apparent force, meaning it is is an artifact of your chosen frame of reference. A feather falling the same speed as an elephant in the Earth reference frame is an example. It is the same as other apperant forces like centrifugal force. Even Newton himself said 'Hypotheses non fingo,' or 'I feign no hypotheses. ' It was a conjecture. |
