That's why you don't have outright bans in countries with advanced medecine to be honest. In France, while it's difficult for a woman to choose to abort after the 14th week (still possible, but it has to be presented to a panel of two doctors and a social worker who will talk to you before), if the doctor deems the birth too difficult (pregancies that will led to a stillborn and/or a damaged reproductive system, sometime both), they can choose to abort the pregnancy if the woman agrees (i think you have to get a second look by another obstetrician, but basically no extra work or risk of being prosecuted). |
