I don’t know for sure. I’d guess: - Hiring, they want to show how they work for new hires - PR, they want to present themselves as experts - lack of trust, or a culture of micromanagement A side effect is: making the company less agile and its processes more bloated - now you have to read a 1000 page document before you can do anything. I also didn’t list transparency, if anything I believe the impact is negative: I’m sure some people can ignore the rules and it’s unclear who and when. |
