Low level languages were so much more hassle than we have to deal with today. Try coding something trivial in assembly or some business logic in C and you will quickly see what I mean. Higher level languages became popular as they offered quite a bit more bang for the buck in terms of dev effort and what could be accomplished with relative ease. Thats how I remember it. I think AI will end up doing the same thing with high level languages. |
