I found it interesting they made a point about rebooting. Considering if you had people turn off their PC's at night, you could save almost double that when you take into account the energy it takes to run a PC and a single monitor. Although most employees I'm sure would be running dual monitors. If they were indeed running Linux (which boots at least 5X faster than Windows) you could easily make an argument for the exact opposite. |
