India has a massive network of "agents" who help a lot of Indians escape India. It was only matter of time before Russians could exploit this to get some much needed manpower. Shame Ukraine is not doing the same. A lot of Indians would be willing to work for any country given a good amount of money.

Isn't the issue that these people were tricked into going into a warzone as troops? I would guess there won't be too many takers for either Ukraine or Russia military frontline jobs if honestly advertised.
Russia is actively at war and that is common knowledge. These people have to be retarded if they thought they would get a desk job in Moscow.

They very well knew that they are going to help in the war efforts in some capacity. I know that Nepalis are joining in large numbers in Russian army today and are on the frontlines too. I suspect the Indian guy simply chickened out when he saw the war.

It is in there interest of Russia to clearly tell the recruits what they are getting into. That reduces chances of cowardice on the battlefield. A lot of Indians would still volunteer to fight despite the risk to their lives. Many Indians from the poor parts of the country risk their lives for earning less than $2 per day. They are engaged into thinks like train robberies, kidnapping, organized crime, drug trafficking etc. where risk to life is non trivial.

The end game is that eventually everyone will get involved, and we will be posting HN comments from the trenches.
I'd hate to find myself fighting a war, but any military engagement that replays Adolf Hitler's brand of imperialistic agenda over Europe in particular and the world in general, whether it focuses on Ukraine or Taiwan, is an extreme sacrifice worth pursuing.

Most liberal democracies only exist today because of the sacrifice from those living in liberal democracies in the 1930s and 1940s. We cannot back down when it's our turn to protect fundamental values.

Yes. I would be happy to fight such war if we plan to make an example out of imperialistic nations.
Hence my remark, as that is going to ultimately happen if things keep slowly escalating.
I don't think this can escalate more from Russia's side. They already invaded neighbouring countries, and not only are they keeping their war machine running but they are also threatening more countries while shifting their economy to a war economy.

At this point, either Russia voluntarily stops it's invasion and leaves Ukraine or inevitably NATO will have to step in. Whether it's before or after Russia invaded a NATO member is still to be determined.

As Russia is all-in, the only option on the table that prevents NATO from stepping in is to support Ukraine and supply them with the necessary and sufficient equipment to drive out Russia. If there's no political consensus to deliver what's needed, it's only a matter of time before Europe's armies are deployed.

Hah, what a sad insight about how much you value human life vs the amount of money that could be made.

I doubt the men being fooled into war (nor their families) will see any money, if they meet a bullet (high chances of that happening) then the Putin regime can just stonewall any payment.

But hey, why not be such an agent. Get a commission from the regime for each man you send to their death. Sounds like a great way to make money if you have no morals.
