HTML is not for non-technical people. The angle brackets alone are a stumbling block. I often point people to Google sites. Easy to set up a site and free. What it lacks are features and customizability, but those are the opposite of what non-technical people need. If the person is willing to pay, then I suggest SquareSpace. Any solution that requires that something be installed or configured is not appropriate for non-technical people. I should add that, in my experience, technical people are not well positioned to recommend solutions for non-technical people, which is why computers have not become any easier to use in 40 years. Those who regularly support or teach to non-technical people are in a much better position to understand what's appropriate. |
