That would be great, but I think it's premature to predict it happening. At every stage of the arms race, when one side comes up with a better weapon, they say "this is it, we've won!" and then the other side just comes up with a better counterattack. A $1T industry wouldn't just roll over and die. That said, if some company makes a paid browser with an AI filter that zaps all ads, trackers, modal "sign up for our newsletter" prompts, chatbots, and all the rest from the web, I'd pay... hmm... $50 a month to use it. Just declaring that now. |
