Congratulations on creating a platform that combines fun and coffee together.

How do you combat spam submissions, considering that anyone can click and submit multiple times, especially when anyone can have multiple cups of coffees at one point of time.

I suppose you have some form of rate limit / throttling going on, but coming from experience it won’t be enough.

You’re right, I throttle submissions.

Currently, you can submit up to five coffees per hour.

After that, a health warning is shown, and the coffee intake doesn’t get recorded.

That said, without accounts, it’s really challenging to verify coffee intake.

I am not shooting for 100% accuracy. It’s just a fun side project.

I try to encourage people to post their coffees so that there’s less incentive to cheat.
