> State governments need to pass laws forcing cities to allow housing, or this will continue to just get worse and worse. Why would the state do that? States are run by politicians voted in by the people, who want their house prices to go up. It's working as intended. |

Or people who are there don’t want more people to be there.
Ski lifts, trails, etc all have capacity limits.
