Strictly speaking, those fat Cookie banners are unlawful under the regulation of the GDPR; the GDPR mandates that a site must not behave functionally different given consent or not, as long as the functionality is not related to a specific user. Unfortunately there are only so many GDPR compliance officers around, and they have to focus on the bigger fish to fry. |
