The “reinventing” issue is so huge in all fields. I’ve watched many smart people try to reinvent or discover things that are well known and tested because they’re not “perfect”. You really need to be able to evaluate if something is worth your time and it’s often best to just try what exists and only iterate if needed. Especially when you actually need to deliver a product |
