Isn't that part of the tasks of a manager, making sure to be up to date with what your subs are doing?
It's really not in the interest of a company to incentivize employees to waste time on marketing themselves to their supervisors.
I see this very often, but I think it is just showing that most managers are not doing a good job in this regard. |
